Is Freedom Academic?

Is Freedom Academic?

I have my own mind but my desire is not a thinking; it’s an echo, a reverberating shock.

My love, why have you abandoned me to all this confusion? I’ve waited month after month to hear from you. I know when you left I was angry and sad and said I was shutting the doors against you, but you should have remembered that no one can shut the doors against love forever. There is no prison in any world into which love cannot force an entrance. If you don’t understand that, you don’t understand anything about love at all.

One of my favorites. The narration touches on the pasted together, broken up temporality of the footage mirroring what it’s like to live queer time. Speech of love, of apprehension, of possibility. It was pride in the streets today, but sitting with this was how I felt I could best participate. I believe in the love address, but I only know how to listen to it right now. To sit quietly. To take things in.
